University Graphic Systems

University Graphic Systems (UGS) is a student-managed, student-operated commercial printing and digital imaging enterprise within the Graphic Communication Department of California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. UGS has been an integral part of the Graphic Communication Department’s educational program since 1968. Recently, UGS has created UGS Print & Copy, a complete retail printing center that provides quick print services on campus. Our printed products will shortly be available for order online.

MISSION STATEMENT: UGS is a student-run printing and digital imaging enterprise that works closely with the Graphic Communication Department, Cal Poly Corporation and the Cal Poly campus community. UGS’ customers receive quality products and services while supporting the broader University mission of “Learn by Doing” in preparing students for careers in the graphic communication industry. UGS provides students with valuable experience in Graphic Communication production, marketing, customer service, and business management.
